Darnall served twenty years on active duty in the United States Navy, with assignments across the surface fleet and amphibious forces. Following active duty, he spent an additional twenty years in federal service supporting Navy manpower and fleet training operations. His work centered on readiness systems, military training pipelines, and organizational effectiveness within complex operational environments.
